'Christ'

Original painting medium Duo Aqua oil on Belli Arti fine grain oil gessoed cotton canvas, stretched on to a museum quality pine stretcher bars.

My inspiration came from an Italian terracotta bust image of someone's vision to represent Christ, probably Sicilian, Circa 1700. I was emotionally connected to this sculpture image and I was inspired to keep the essence of this sculpture alive through my canvas. I have tried new technique to embody the texture of age and preserve the 3-D look of the terracotta style.
