“Stag of the Glen”
60” x 40”
My intentions behind creating this oil painting was to make the most of an image I'd found, which touched my heart deeply. The innocent aura emanating from this stunning creature, bloomed through the image. It spoke to me in a profound way, which captivated my artistic attention for use in more than one painting. My first painting using this image was “Deer Heart”, which surreptitiously included three hearts within the painting, encapsulating my love for this Stag image.
Prints of my earlier painting "Deer Heart" are available to purchase via my online shop.
If you would like to order a print of this painting, "Stag of the Glen", please be aware that it is still in the process of being scanned and proofed before the prints can be produced and sent out to you. These prints can be pre-ordered following the button links below.
Grand Kyloe II
Saying goodbye ❤️ to my original painting, Grand Kyloe II. It’s off to its new owner, who commissioned me to recreate “Grand Kyloe Bull” - one of my previous works of art from six years ago. I have truly enjoyed replicating my own work in a slightly bigger format 254cm x 130cm, stretched over exhibition stretcher bars made and sold by @russellandchapple. The stretcher bars are top quality and really suited the size of the canvas. Over-all I am very happy with the outcome of this piece.
The lovely German Lady who commissioned the piece, especially learned English for three years while following my art journey, to be able to communicate in the language I understand so she could order this commission.
"Hi Dina, now I have time to write you. I wanted to thank you so so much. You fullfilled my Kyloe painting dream. Everything came true.
He ist so perfect, you made him strong, masculine and everything with the colours like I was asking for. He creates an own atmosphere in the room and he's so perfect. All of us like him so much.
Thank you so much for the work you did and for the nice and good cooperation between us. Big hug and warmest greetings to your family"
New Giclee prints of “Grand Kyloe Bull II” are available to purchase from my website or using the links below, in two sizes 60” x 30” and 48” x 24” box canvas. Paper prints are also available now!
“Inner Balance Yang” Toro Bull painting is now completed - just a signature left to do before varnishing. A 'Ying & Yang', complementing light and dark with lambent grace. A concept that originated in Chinese philosophy, describing opposite but interconnected, mutually perpetuating forces, embodies my intention with this pair of paintings.
The strength of Yin and Yang☯️🤍
New Sculptures
I have worked on a new collection of classical sculptures using clay. These are the beginnings of an exciting new venture for me, and there will shortly be a new page on my website featuring this collection. Watch this space!
Original clay plaque sculptures/bas relief of classicism style, resting on bespoke oak stands:
1. "The Wise Man” study in clay, size with stand 17cm x 12cm x 15cm
2. "Nymph” study in clay, size with stand 19cm x 12cm x 8cm
3. “Guardian” Spartan head study size with stand: 8cm x 21cm x 12cm
4. New 3D sculpture study: My first trial sculpting a full three dimensional head, of my own design and using my own techniques. I truly enjoy using clay to build 3D form and bringing my ideas alive - it’s so enthralling.
You can register interest in owning any of the original sculptures or their limited edition plaster copies, via email to daperejogina@talktalk.net, or via the contact form on my website.
Next on the Easel...
Following the completion of my duo of paintings “Angel” and ”Guardian“, next on my easel will be a new duo of “Adam“ and “Eve”. I delight in the concept of completing many classical sculpture style paintings; particularly those I am most passionate about. Brought to fruition through the many ideas and references I’ve sourced - concentrating my inspiration into these paintings brings sheer joy and pleasure to my soul.
Two top quality canvases measuring 60” x 34” are now fully prepped and sat on my easel ready to get started. I look forward to updating you with my progress as these new projects develop.
I'd love to hear from you!
